In General:
The project is an international multicenter project. A broad range of expertise is brought together to study this psychiatric disorder in a careful well-though manner but with the required scientific methodological rigour. A well-balanced team with differential views on the etiology of DID is brought together. It is thought that an open discussion between people holding different views can only be beneficial for the project as the best ideas usually originate from challenging discussions. Patient inclusion is supported through the Dutch National Centre for Early Childhood Traumatization "Het Landelijk Centrum voor Vroegkinderlijke Traumatisering (LCVT)".The center part consists of four people, the project leader and three PhD students:
